Sage's game was rescheduled as well so that gave us ample time to paint the pumpkins that were picked from the pumpkin patch yesterday. Except that it was raining. So they got to paint them inside. Lucky me.
The kids knew they were to paint outside so Rylee decides sometime during midmorning that maybe a song would make it stop.
Rylee: Mommy, we need to sing wain, wain, go away.
Me: Okay, let's sing.
Together: Rain, rain, go away, come again another day.
**Listens** It's still raining.
Rylee: Mommy?
Me: Yes, baby?
Rylee: We should go outside and sing it.
Apparently because the rain didn't hear us. I decided it would be better to just go ahead and paint inside.

Rylee decided she was going to start with painting the entire pumpkin blue and then white. While the paint was still wet, she continued to paint it over and over with various colors and named it Scrubby.

Zoe decided the perfect colors for a pumpkin's face is pink and purple. Now there's a shocker. She continued on with a few different colors and came up with her pumpkin's name, Lucy. Um...yeah. More like Lunatic Lucy from some hellish Halloween horror flick, but we'll keep that to ourselves.

Since Sage is a New York Giants fan, he became quite creative in making his pumpkin. Apparently he plans on having this by his side tomorrow when Pittsburgh whoops the snot out of them.

Drey was Mr. Particular as usual and took his good ole' time with the details of his pumpkin's face.

All in all it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be with four kids, four pumpkins and a ton of paint in our tiny kitchen. My kitchen is still intact and as far as I know so is my mind.
